EduKino is an Erasmus+ project that operates in the field of school education. It aims at promoting image education as a tool for the inclusion of children in precarious and migratory situations.

In more detail, image education could be defined as a type of education related to the various dimensions of cinema and audio-visual production and practices, but more broadly of photography, television and any form of image production.It aims at building and reinforcing access to all artistic forms and understanding them; sensitising on the processes of image creation and on the building of discourse through image; developing critical spirit and the ability to analyse image productions.

The project started in March 2021 and will last 24 months, until March 2023. During this period of time, EduKino will try to achieve a twofold objective:

• Facilitate the social inclusion of youth in situation of precariousness and/or of migration
• Promote active citizenship through artistic and cultural activities, precisely through image education

To do that, EduKino will promote the pooling of skills through networking and cooperation between professionals, in order to develop new knowledge, methodologies and abilities adapted to the difficulties faced by young people in vulnerable situations.
